LEGO® M3A1 Anti-Tank Gun Build
It was designed and produced by the United States. The number built was 18,702 between 1940 - 1943. In 1941 they were used for the first time in the Defense of the Philippines. It proved that it was very effective at against the thinly armoured Japanese tanks. With only a weight of 414 kg (912 lb), the mountainous terrain wasn't too difficult to traverse through. In North Africa it was a different campaign and experience. The anti-tank gun wasn't powerful enough to destroy the Panzer III's and later German tanks. Overall the M3A1 was effective against early and pre-war tanks, but it was phased out by the end of the war. This was because the armour and protection of tanks increased a lot but the M3A1 wasn't improved enough.Â
