During the Cold War the USA needed to develop an APC which is air-portable, amphibious and lightweight (around 12.1 tons). With a road speed of 41mph the 11 infantry can be transported safety due to the added armament. Some M113s had TOW anti-tank missile launchers fitted to the roof. Our Lego® M113 model features two sets of smooth rolling tracks and a rotatable turret ring on the top. Inside the roof can be removed to allow access to the interior which features a drivers compartmet.

The British army has used the Defender for over 45 years. To support the chassis a coil-spring suspension allows the vehicle to travel any terrain. Although it has no main armament the anti-aircraft machine gun can provide supportive cover fire. Into the future this vehicle will continued to be used for lots of purposes. This Lego® Cold War model features a drivers compartment in the front and a passengers section towards the rear of the vehicle.

Our Cold War collection includes models from multiple countries such as the USA to the Soviet Union (USSR) and the UK. This is our Lego® Humvee military model, which is in a 1/45 scale so it is perfect for mini-figures and our other Lego® models.
